Can I split the duration field into two separate columns for reports?

Is it possible when building a report to split the duration field so that the number and the "D", "H" "W" etc. appear in separate columns?

When downloading the report output ot excel it is a pain to have to do this manually in order to perform any extra processing on the data.

I would like to see this functionality as well. It is a significant inconvenience when downloading a report to excel to then have to strip the d/h/w from the column to perform external calculations.
