Custom multi select field based on users.

I would like to create a custom field that is a multi select pick list with the source being the Users in the system. It looks like Reference to Object limits me to single select, and multi select doesnt let me link it to the Users item. How would I set this up? Thanks.

or can I add another option for 'related' somehow? I'd like to relate expenses to multiple users.

Christopher,

I am not certain if this is currently supported. I will look into it and let you know.

Christopher,

You cannot create a custom multi-pick list that is reference to object type.  What are you trying to accomplish? what is the Use Case?

Let me know and I will see if we can provide you a solution. Also, this is a customization most likely so posting on the Customization section of the Forum will likely result an some good information on how you can accomplish your needs via Customization.

Sincerely,

Boris

Thanks.

This is for expense reports. In situations where one person is covering another's expenses (like team dinners) - so if I pick up dinner for 5 people, I'd like to list their names on the expense sheet. This could just be a free form field, but a pick list would be more elegant and traceable.

Christopher,

You can do that with a Custom Field (Multi-Select Picklist). You will need to manually enter all of the names. If you want to reference the Users in Clarizen, this is unfortunately not possible as they are two separate entities in the system that cannot be referenced together. A Change Request would be required to add this functionality.

Sincerely,

Boris
