How do i stop Clarizen changing the dates

At present, we as a company are struggling to get time reporting into Clarizen completed by the Techs. As a result we have to wait until we get the reports back from the techs and fill in the time for them.

Problem: If I try to report actual time against a task the date is automatically changed to today's date for both the task and the milestone. This then throws out all the other dates under that milestone even on tasks that have been marked as complete.

I then have to go through at restore all affected tasks and milestones before I can make the next change - and the whole process starts again., even just marking the task complete changes the date meeting you have to make it active again to change it back.

Q: How do I stop these automatic date changes when retrospectively editing Clarizen tasks?

Hi Trevor,

Thank you for contacting Clarizen Support. Let me ask you few questions to help us narrow down the issue:

1) Which date changes automatically when you report Actual Effort? Is it Actual Start Date?

2) Are you updating Actual Effort _manually or is _Actual Effort updated from timesheet?

3) Can you verify if you have installed any of the following applications (Settings >> Configure) ?

    a) Set Actual Start Date

    b) _Set Actual Start Date upon insertion of timesheet
