Does "allow emails" effect discussion posts?

I have had some instances where a person is not receiving emails when they are set to be notified in a Discussion.   Is this impacted by the Allow Emails setting?  Are there any other settings that would result in a discussion post not being sent to people included in the Notify field of a new post or reply?

Hi Sam,

Yes, the user would need Allow Emails setting to be on. This is probably the reason why the user is not getting any notifications when there is a discussion post.
