Project/Resource default hours?

When scheduling a project either by using templates (projects, tasks) defaults to 1 day = 9 hours, 1 week =45 hours, I have checked the calendars and they all have a  default day = 8 hours, 20 days/month, the weekly hours are 8 hours (9-5PM).  How can I insure the default hours are always 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week?

Hi Stalin,

Could you please confirm that the Global Calendar Settings are correct? The global calendar setting is located in Settings>Global Settings>Organization Settings>Calendar - see screenshot for location: http://screencast.com/t/Rei2Hg8h

You'll need admin permissions in order to make changes.
