Is it possible to create a view so when you open a project the MS in process and the parent tasks in this MS are expanded (i.e you do not need to click on the + to see the tasks)

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to automatically expand all automatically. At this time, the only workaround is to click the box at top left of Work Plan which selects all rows and then click the Expand button on the toolbar. If you have further child items, you will have to do it again but it will limit how many clicks you have to make.
