How can I set the default for the Billable toggle option to be unchecked?

I want to set the "Billable" toggle option under Work Item - Project - Field Layout to default as unchecked.

Andrew,

There is no system setting that allows you to do this but what you can do is:

1 - showing the Billable column to view the toggle and easily disable where you desire.

2 - If you are using Templates when creating Projects, modify the templates so that the billable fields are set to unchecked and resave the Template.

3 - You can create a Custom workflow that whenever a new Project is created the billable field is updated to $billable=false.
