Issue with Clarizen Add-in

We have been trying to download the Clarizen Add-in on Windows 8 laptops and Win 7 Desktop but are getting errors during the download which then prevents the add-in being applied.

Attached is the error we are getting if you can help that would be great!

Paula,

This is typically due to a local hardware or software firewall that is blocking the files from being downloaded. Please work with your local Network/IT Group to verify that clarizen.com is not being blocked in any manner.

Sincerely,

Boris

Hi Boris

I have asked our IT team to look into this and this is the response.

Clarizen isn’t blocked. Not quite sure how this would be a firewall issue when this has worked previously in the network for everyone... Additionally, I can navigate to the download link with a browser as per the below screenshot.

Hope you can help

thanks

Paula

Hi Paula,

Please try these steps:

1.

Uninstall Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime (Control Panel -> Programs and Features)

2.

Delete the complete VSTO folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO ) - IMPORTANT

3.

Install Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime again (Can be done by re-run the Excel Add-in setup process)

If that does not work, please refer to the following link:
