I want to create a custom field that can have multiple "referenced objects"

I am creating a field that I want to be able to add multiple "referenced objects", much like when you add "Resources" to a task, you are able to add multiple users.

So the way i have the setting is attached in the screenshot. Can you please let me know how i can make it to where i can add multiple users? Thanks!

Ken,

Unfortunately, this cannot be done. The Custom Field using Reference to Object only allows you to reference one object not multiple. A possible workaround would be to configure the field as a Multi-Picklist but that would require you to update the list of users whenever new users are added or users are deleted.

Thanks for the tip Boris. So is it possible to compile this list from a list of users? I don't just want a list of names from our Users, i also want them to be able to receive emails based on this list. Would I use some sort of formula? If so, how would I go about that?

Thanks!

Ken,

I believe it is the latter and will not provide you what you need. I see that your Customer Success Manager is Patrick Smith. If you give me a complete Use Case of your needs, what you are trying to do and how you would like the functionality to work (i.e. Workflow), I will pass the information to him so that we can see if what you are trying to do is possible in any way and he can help you out directly.

Sincerely,

Boris
