How can I schedule a project to end on a specific date?

I have a project that starts January 15, 2015 and SHALL end no later than June 1, 2015.  I need to schedule the project with this end date and backup milestones from there.

Not sure the right terminology and function for this.  Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi Dawn,

I am a little confused. Is the project already created or you talking about creating a new project? However, regarding your original question, you can achieve this with customizations.

Hello Tom.

I will start a new project.  The project MUST end June 1, 2015.  So, I want all the milestones to adjust to this deadline date.

I am still new to Clarizen but doing well.

Dawn,

What you are looking for is the Constraint Type of the Project. The default is ASAP, As Soon As Possible. You can change this to ALAP, As Late As Possible. You will be able to provide the Due Date and as you add Milestones and Tasks, the Start Dates will be automatically adjusted to meet the required Due date based on the specified Work and Duration.

Sincerely,

Boris
