I can't add a file to a project. When I select the file from our server it shows "fakepath" (see picture)... please help! thank you!

That should be correct. It will say "fakepath" but you can still upload the file. Please let me know if you are not able to.

It doesn't work... 

this is what I got: "File upload has failed. It was probably blocked due to file size or potentially dangerous contents. Try a different file."

It doesn't work with Chrome but it works with Internet Explorer.

Ah that means that there is an extension on Chrome that is blocking this. There are various extensions that does this, especially third party security extensions on Chrome. What you need to do is go to Chome://extensions on your web browser and disable all extensions for now and you should be able to upload. Let me know if this helps.
