How do I give InterAct mailbox full user permission

Hi,

My InterAct rule fails cause it says that it is set as an external user.  where do i change that?

Do i have to have a user associated with my InterAct?

Where do i change the setting to another user?

Thank you,

Motty

Hi Motty,

You would need to go to the "People" module from the navigation and turn of "External User" for that user for them to use the interact mailbox.

Hi Tom,

i dont think that i was clear in my question.  on the InterAct module, where do i associate a user to the mailbox or to a rule and how do i edit that to another user or give that user full permission without taking a license.

Also im not sure if there was an issue with today Advance Q&A Webinar but i register and never received an invite.

Thank you

Hi Motty,

Ah I see. You would need to find the rule that it is trying to run in InterAct and then click "Edit" if this is a custom rule and not out of the box. However, if you are sending an email via Interact to a user with an external license, it would not work and cannot be edited since the rule that you are trying to run only allows Full license users. Only Email to Case InterAct rules allows external users.

Hi Tom,

I am looking at my email to interAct and see few.  i added to a custom rule to support mailbox a rule that will add external user if doesnt exist in users and im getting: "

An error occurred while executing action '8.2 - New Item' in a configuration named 'Create_Issue_From_Email_User_Exist': External user can invite only user with same e-mail domain - eriksonconsumer.clarizenmail.com."

i dont see anywhere on the rule the check mark for apply roles. so im not sure why it says that it is external user.  how do i know which user it is using and can i change that user ?

Hi Motty,

Before I dive deeper, could you tell me who is sending the email to the mailbox so it would trigger this rule? Is it you or is it another user?

i send it as another user from an email address that isnt used in our User (People) file.  i think that the issue is with the user associate to the email to case rule that the permission for it is set as external user.

Hi Motty,

Email to case should allow anyone to use the mailbox so it should not be throwing that error. It could be that the rule is under something else and that is why it is throwing the error. However, this customization is a little more intricate than originally intended but from my consultation with one of experts, it is possible. It is best to post it on one of our customization forum (https://success.clarizen.com/forums/22175706-Customizations) or attend the next Advanced Q&A webinar (http://www.clarizen.com/live-demo.html).

Motty,

Can you verify that System Setting 8.9 - Automatic create contact person for unregistered users is turned on. This setting will create a contact for non-users that send emails to your system for Email To Case. If this is still not the resolution, please open a ticket and provide Grant Login Access  so that we can investigate further.

Sincerely,

Boris

Hi Motty,

You do not need to add me to your environment. We were just confirming the system setting. However, as mentioned earlier, its best to post this question in our customization forum or attend one of our Advanced Q&A webinar and we will be able to help build this rule for you.
