How is the actual effort figure calculated in a new issue?

When i create a new issue, without assigning any tasks to it, it automatically adds a figure to the actual effort and remaining effort fields.

I cant see where these figures are being calculated from.

Martin,

By default, it should be 0 h for Actual Effort and Remaining Effort. Could you provide a screen capture and more detail as to what you are seeing?

Another explanation could be that you have a Custom Workflow that adds certain values when you create the new Issue.
