It would be nice if in V6 you didn't have to click on Misc and then Change Type to toggle 'Task', 'Milestone' or 'Project' types. Less clicks :)

Eventually these menus will be customizable, but for now our product team is already complaining that the Common tab is getting too crowded =). Unfortunately I think you may have to wait until the customization option is available.
what are the ways of adding milestones in v6 ---I see there are various ways do you have a blurb or explaination for the terms like I see a milestone adding via the navigational menu and when in a plan but when are the correct terms...like adding via ribbion, nav menu or buttons - I am trying to do a proposal.
Really there are two options in the work plan, you can "Add" a milestone, which places the milestone instead of a project your are selecting. Alternatively you can "Insert" a milestone, which creates it above the item you are selecting assuming that the new milestone would not be created instead of a task or another milestone (this is not allowed at the moment and will give you an error). You can also convert a task to a milestone using the change type function in the menu.
Josh, is there a way to programatically invoke the "Change Type" built-in action from a custom action or a workflow/validation rule?
