Allow Sub-Tasks for To-Do List Tasks

Our organization is using To-Do list tasks to manage our non-project work; research, assistance, maintenance, support or enhancement.  Our reason for this was that we didn't want non-project work to clutter our project portfolios.  We use Issues/Risks explicitly for issues and risks associated with a project.

I, for example, assigned one of the guys on my team an enhancement task which I estimated to take less than 40 hours.  I didn't want to manage it as a project, so I created it as an Enhancement Task in our To-Do list.  However, it would be useful to be able to decompose such a task into a series of steps, or sub-tasks.

I would also like to vote for this but extend it further.  Tasks and sub-tasks should be possible everywhere.  To-do items, as well as tasks that fall under bugs, issues, risks and requests should all be able to have sub-tasks.  In fact I'll argue that the lack of useful tasks and sub-tasks at the individual (user) level is one of the primary causes of so many users avoiding software and maintaining lists outside of it.  For some reason business focused and project management focused software never seems to think users need to outline their tasks, only the project manager evidently!  Yet I've found again that most users who are involved in complex projewcts benefit from and use tasks and sub-tasks in their own lists when available.  And when not available they resort to documenting it somewhere else, in a Word document etc.

Just to add our voice to this - we'd like it too, esp. Project_Manager's suggestion of permitting sub-tasks against Cases!
Thanks

I would also like to add my support for this functionality.  We often have small chunks of work that aren't directly tied to projects that merit more than just a header level task.  Some To-Do List tasks need to have more than one person assigned to them as well, so having sub-tasks would be very helpful.

Our Org is also very interested in this functionality as we use the JIRA integration, but the sub-tasks of JIRA tasks not associated with a project (To-Do list tasks) cannot be pushed from JIRA to Clarizen because the Task/Sub-task hierarchy does not exist in Clarizen
