There are 2 items I like about using Skype better: sound and auto-signon upon startup. Most of the time, I'm working in word or excel so I only look at something social if I am alerted. I rely on the sound from Skype to ping me when I have something, as well as the highlighted icon on the task bar. Clarizen has no way outside of the browser (to my knowledge) to let me know that there is a post or chat that I need to take a look at. Sending me a email on every post is pointless because I might as well just use email instead of Clarizen social. The other item, that would be easier if it auto logged on upon start-up like Skype does. If I have to remember to go into Clarizen each time I want to use it, I'm not going to use it much. I more than likely close down my browser after each use and never just leave it open because it takes up too much real estate. Maybe like a pop-out social browser woudl be more effective. I know I can minimize my browser but then I end up having a browser window every time I search a new piece of information. So those are my 2 ideas. A way to visual/sound alert me that there is a post that needs my attention when I'm in a different program and a way to auto logon upon start-up instead of relying on my own-self to login each day.
