Scott,
Thank you for the suggestion. I will add this as a Change Request for you.
Sincerely,
Boris
I'd like the ability to specify my own short date format, such as YYYY-MM-DD. The built-in options don't meet the ISO 8601 standard: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601

Scott,
Just an update. Please reference CR-5558 if you need to request an update on this Change Request in the future.

Boris,
Could you advise where we can use the CR# to track the Change Request? This one is nearly 3 years old, but the simple feature has not been added. I would like to see why it hasn't been implemented yet.
An additional request beyond YYYY-MM-DD would be to include month abbreviations (Jan, Feb, etc) in place of MM.
Thanks!
This feature is now available under system setting 4.6.
How can I get this same short date format in my emails and posts when referencing the data field. The output is set to YYYY-MM-DD and end user want to see MM/DD/YY.
