how can i execute custom action from a workflow rule

I am trying to execute a custom action from workflow. ive tried:

HyperLink(GetCustomActionUrl('Create New User',GetRuntimeParameter(CurrentObject())))

Hi Motty,

You cannot execute a Custom Action via a Workflow Rule (you can do the opposite).

However, if you try to have a link in a pop-up / post or email you can have a HyperLink pointing on the CA.
