Attaching a document in a user form

We have a custom action for creating a new project where the user input few values. We would like to upload a document as part one the user inputs and attached it to an e-mail (one of the actions in the custom action).

  1. How do you upload a file in a custom action with input variables.

  2. How do you attach it to an e-mail

Thanks

Matti,

I have reposted this to the Customization section of the forum for proper visibility and a quicker response for your request.

Matti,

I am still working on this for you but I am almost there. I have figured out how to create a Project with a file attachment (see attached screen capture)...but I am still playing with how to get that file sent to someone via email within the same Custom Action. I have requested some assistance form our Product team to get details on how this can be done.

I will update you.

Matti,

I dug up an example of this from a customer, see attached. Note that this is typically used for Case Management and you would need to do some tweaking for this to work upon new Project creation but it should provide you a base to get started.

Boris: I know this is an old post but relevant to a problem I'm attempting to solve. Your last comment mentions an attachment with an example. I don't see that attached here. Anyway I could get that?

You would just create a reference to object field (type file) in the custom action form.
