we have created a report based on the tasks of a project. The project has some recurring tasks.
Is there a way we can exclude the single occurrences of these recurring tasks (those with the circle-arrow symbol on the task icon) from that report?

Unfortunately, Recurring Tasks ID are the same as regular Tasks so you cannot easily exclude them. You can try using Task Name if there is a specific naming convention or create a custom field that would specify it as a Recurring Task (RT) and you can filter out those Tasks.

thanks for your answer. It sparked an idea with me:
If I include the "Parent" in the "Include related data" option of the report, I would add a filter "<Task>.<Parent>.ID Does Not Contain RT-".
That should exclude all tasks having a recurring task as parent.
The report seems to show the result I expected.
Could you think of any problems this solution could cause?

So long as you do not have any Projects that you do want to include that may contain RT-, I do not see any problems with the solution.
