Sub-Floating Tasks?

Hello,

I have a workflow set up to assign the current user as the resource for all $FloatingTasks and tasks created in a specific project type (personal projects). The workflow works great. But now I've discovered that I need it to also apply to any subtasks created within the personal projects. I haven't been able to find a sub-task option, however. Can you please help?

Hi,

Thank you for the question. In order to have that rule work against internal projects as well as floating tasks, we need to add another condition to the evaluation criteria. How do you determine what is an internal project - is that based on Project Type?

Thanks Tamir! Yes, it would be subtasks of tasks within the Project Type = 'Personal'

Hi,

So your Evaluation Criteria should be $FloatingTask=TRUE || $Project.ProjectType='Internal'

Let me know if that works.

Hi Tamir. That is currently what my evaluation is and it works great except it doesn't apply to any subtasks created in the internal projects. Could the Run Time be affecting it? I have it set to "Only when a record is created."

Hi,

Maybe. Try to select the first criteria - if it won't work we can try creating the WR on the parent link.
Let me know if changing the runtime worked.
