Update: The work around is not: 'adding a resource to the project on the project page'. The only real work around for Team Managers to manage their users time is to have all team managers as Super Users
Equal permissions/access for Direct Managers as Users for entering timesheets
As a direct manager of a user (and Direct Manager of a Team / Group), I would like the ability to assign work items via 'Add Existing Item' to my team members under the Team View.
Currently, the only projects that are available to allocate to my team members are those that I (the team lead) is a project manager of. Users have the option to allocate themselves to any project via 'Add Existing Item'. As a Direct Manager of the user, I should also have the ability for this so that I can manage their time sheets when required.
The current work around of adding a resource to the project on the project page prior is not great user experience.
