Hi, what's the usage for assignedapprover role when building a custom action on a timesheet? I would assume it is the users that have approval permissions (PM/manager and/or direct manager) for a particular time sheet entry, but it didn't seem to be the PM/manager. I tried currentUser() = $assignedapprover and it didn't work.

Hi Ariel,
This field is currently not in use and has no logic around it. This field purpose was for future enhancement in our approval workflow.
Currently there is no way to change the assigned approver.

You can however build a full blown customized approval process with multiple approvers leveraging custom pages. It is a heavy lifting but feasible.
