Is there somewhere i can get a list of workplan columns available to select from and the parameters around the columns (ie free form text, date, number of characters, alpha or numeric etc.)
I want to know more about the columns than just looking at them on a selection screen.
Absolutely, you can look at all fields in the system by going into Settings >> Configure. Here you can filter by item type on the left and then select Show: Standard Fields. This is also where you can create your own fields for any of our modules.

Thank you I now how to configure and add and delete columns to my workplan, I am looking for a comprehensive list of the columns available to add to the workplan and all of their definitions and parameters. I want to know the clarizen definition and also if it is numeric, alpha, date field, how many characters I can have in the field etc.
This will allow me to narrow down my focus when looking at available fields and meanings versus scrolling through the vast list of available columns, guessing at the meanings of some of them and parameters and then having to use trial and error to find the column that works for me.
Unfortunately we don't have the definitions easily accessible, but the configuration page will let you quickly see what type each field is and you can click into the field to see the tool tip if you want additional information (including character limits, formulas, etc.).
