I am running a rule on the User object and I would like it to only run when a rule equals that users have Subordinates. I can't see a function to use to get a count of subordinates or anything.
Is it possible to check whether a user has subordinates?
The easiest way to do this right now would be to create a custom field that counts subordinates (please contact your CSM or PS Consultant to configure) and then run your workflow based on that field.

Related to this query, why is the "Direct Reports" field not available in the formula editor under Configuration (workflows or Custom Actions)?
