Gantt view for Task module

I have several departments requesting to have a view that shows all the department tasks (Across many projects) using the task module with a Gantt style graph.

They want to be able to see all the tasks as a bar on a linear calendar with start and due dates.  No need for any predecessors or similar, just the duration the task is due to be undertaken on, so that they can review the department loading and plan accordingly.

With Gantt charts available in the Projects, it seems a reasonable request that they are also available in the task module, albeit in a simpler mode without dependencies.
