For what its worth, the CR should not be the ability to have the naming convention changed. It is to do something that makes more immediate sense from the end user, like in Excel - horizontal axis and vertical axis. Having the X axis be the vertical axis in a horizontal bar chart is correct, if you look at the mathematical definition, but mostly unintuitive to users and seems buggy at first glance.
