Allow files (documents, spreadsheets, etc) to be opened in native application vs. Clarizen file view. I believe this would improve performance (similar to SharePoint web-view or open with application feature). XLS files would open in Excel, DOC files would open in Word, etc., etc.

You mean instead of opening the file viewer, they will auto-open the file? I too dislike the file viewer, so instead I download the file without accessing the file viewer and then open from my computer. Fastest workaround for me.
