That should be how the system functions today. I just did a quick test with the URL of a specific project and it worked perfectly.

Deep Links
It would be a significant benefit if (for unauthenticated and infrequent users) deep links pointing directly to tasks, cases, etc worked post authentication. Meaning, when they click on the link, if the user is not logged in they will have to do so. As soon as that's done, the system continues to take them to the original link destination.
