If a project has been in flight for a while and it's determined that it should be small work instead, how can I transfer it to small work without losing any information already gathered for the project?

Not sure I follow... how did you indicate it's a more significant work effort?
Typically this is done by the duration and resources of the project - so you just modify them accordingly and you shouldn't lose any information.
Sorry, I'm relatively new to Clarizen and to my position here. On my home screen, I have options to "create project" and "create small work". Is this standard functionality?
Sounds to me like a customized home page. This button probably activates a custom action.
Perhaps someone else here is familiar with it a bit more, but I've never heard of it...
Hi Joe, can you please submit a support ticket and we can have a look (Submit Request button on the top of this page). "Create small work" is definitely not an out-of-the-box function. My best guess it that it will create a task or request. Professional Services would be the best team to create a rule that would let you convert one item to another but we would be happy to look and recommend next steps.
