How can we trigger built-in ""Apply on Members" functions automatically ?

Hi,

There is a button called "Apply on Members" on group details to allow us to trigger some group settings for each member.

I think this is a built-in function and can't figure out how to trigger it automatically?

Is there a way ( via API or custom workflows ) to trigger these built-in functionalities? 

For example : 
I want to trigger "Apply on Members > Calendar" button when a new user is mapped to that group.
