TLS v1.0 / v1.1 Deprecation Notice

What’s changing?

Support for TLS v1.0 and v1.1 will be discontinued after the scheduled software release on December 29, 2019. After this date, Clarizen will reject connections that do not comply with TLS v1.2 or higher.

What do you need to do?

To avoid disruptions to your work, you must upgrade the following apps and update API code where necessary.

Excel Add-in

Upgrade the Excel Add-in with the latest version.

To check if you have the latest version, open an Excel spreadsheet with the add-in. Go to Clarizen > Login > About. Make sure you have version 19.14.0.0 or later.

If you have an earlier version, download and install the latest version.

Active Directory Sync

Upgrade the Active Directory Sync with the latest version. Click here to download the latest version.

API

Make sure your API code uses TLS 1.2. If not, please update your API code.

One way to check the TLS version is via firewall logs. In the logs, you can check how the API endpoint communicates with the Clarizen One API.

Another way is to verify your version of the .Net framework used in the API integration. A .Net version of 4.6 and up will work with the latest TLS version. If the version is 4.52 or lower, you should update the version. See more in this article.
