I have a rule that triggers and email whenever a work-item is deleted; I was asked to add as a second action a post; but I'm having problems at getting the discussion post generated. These are the steps I followed.

Based on your explanation it seems that you're adding the post on the work item that is being deleted (therefore you can't see it/it is not being added). What is the intended destination?

I've looked into this and found that it should be possible. However, the solution is beyond the scope of this forum. My recommendation is to work on this with your CSM/PS Consultant.
