How do I remove the Custom Actions dropdown from specific profiles?

Hi,

I want to remove the Custom Actions menu from certain profiles. When I customize the ribbon options, this item doesn't appear. Is there another place that I need to look to control this?

Hello Emily,

One can control which profiles or users are allowed to use a custom action in the custom action's edit mode. Settings >> Configure >> click edit on a custom action of interest >> Permissions:

Users who are not allowed to use any custom actions will not see the button.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks, Ronald. I've done what you've suggested but the profile in question still sees the button but all of the options are grayed out. Is there a way to also remove the button?
