JIRA to Clarizen sync issues

I am trying to sync JIRA issue (s) (Task, assumption, risk etc.) to Clarizen project. Sync does not process any records. Other way round it works i.e. Clarizen task to JIRA.

Is there any setup which is required to complete the sync? I have not created any new mappings and using the out of box 'JIRA issue to Clarizen task' mapping?

Please assist.

You can refer to the following documentation: https://success.clarizen.com/hc/en-us/articles/215455318-JIRA-Integration-V2?

Below are the relevant steps.

Linking a Clarizen task/issue to a JIRA issue

You can link issues or tasks in Clarizen to separate JIRA issues without having to sync the project. For example, two tasks from the same project in Clarizen can be connected to issues in JIRA under different projects.

To link a specific issue / task in Clarizen to an issue in JIRA without syncing to a project, follow these steps:

  1. In Clarizen, go to an existing task in a project.
  2. In the Work Plan ribbon, click Utilities > JIRA Sync.
  3. In the new window, click Link to Existing tab to link to an existing issue.
  4. Select the use case in the Define Use Case dropdown.
  5. Search for an existing Clarizen work item to link the task.

Hey Bobby, Thanks for your response. The documentation does not talk about syncing an issue created in JIRA to Clarizen task. For instance, I create a Risk issue type in JIRA and I want to tag it to the task within the Clarizen project. How do I achieve that?

Thanks.

Hello Sumit,

You can use the same steps to link the records and sync. If there are specific fields you would like to sync form JIRA to Clarizen or Clarizen to JIRA please contact your Account Executive to work with our PS team to assist you in modifying the mappings.

Thanks.
