Hi All,
Is there a way to remove a resource from a project without losing the time entered against it? My use case with this is a PM goes on PTO and needs coverage, so another PM steps in and assigns themselves to the project so they can enter time against it while the original PM is out.
Once the PM is back, the coverage person now has that project listed on their timesheet even though they will never put time against it again.. In theory.
Is there a good way to go about filtering within a timesheet to remove these projects, or how have others accomplished this? Right now, I am changing the filters on their timesheet views to exclude those specific projects.. not a great fix.

Hello Jamie,
Once the resource is no longer needed to submit timesheets on a work item, you can inactivate the resource link (not the user itself). Once this is done, the work item will no longer be reportable for that resource.

Go the the relevant work item, expand the Resources panel, add the State field to the columns (there will be two — one for the user and one for the resource link), inactivate the resource link state.
