Changing the Display Name of Standard Fields

Our business uses different verbiage for some standard data elements.  For example, our "Project Managers" are called "Case Managers".  We refer to "Customers" as "Clients"   Standard field display names, however, cannot be changed.

For some low level elements we can get around this with synchronized custom fields.  For example, the standard field "Location" is a text field, but we created a custom field called "Office" which is a Pick List, and then added a workflow rule to keep the two field values in synch.  But for critical elements like Project Manager, that is not a workable solution

I see there is an open feature request to allow field aliasing on a larger scale (which I upvoted).  Is there another way, using CSS or some other mechanism, to change the display name of a key element like Project Manager or Customer to display different text?

You should contact your Clarizen CSM - I believe it's possible but requires some coding.

The simplest way of resolving your issue is to create some Custom Fields. You can then revise your profile/panels etc., to use the new fields. With Custom Fields you create any type of field you may need. We have extensively used Custom Fields to successfully resolve particular issue
