Importing Resource Plan

Hi,

  In the Resource Planning view, I'm trying to add resources and allocate them hours on a weekly basis. I am doing it manually by sequentially adding a resource & assigning him hours. 

 Is there a way to import this data ? Something like, an excel has resource names & weekly assignment in hrs against them and when I import it, the resource names & corresponding data appears in the resource planning view ?
