Dashboard level report filter for panels with like filters

Customer has project/portfolio dashboards. All reports referenced within each dashboard use the same filter 'where project name equals ____' since multiple panels reference the same filter (and often the same report) it would save a lot of time to be able to set this filter at the dashboard level instead of repeating for each panel.
