What is the best way to allocate a certain % or amount of hours to a specific resource and then evenly distribute the remaining hours to other resources? I've played with the Units column, but not getting the expected result. I don't fully understand this column either. Additionally, when I need to reset hours - how can clear out all and reset so that the resourcing is restored? Is there a best practice as to resetting hours at the work item level vs the resource level?

I think setting work and duration by resource is the easiest way to do this, but we have some newer options available as well.
