I think you should use NewObject1 in the $Entity field. Have you tried that?

Permissions on Data Object
I am trying to grant some permissions on a Data Object that is created on a Project through a custom action. I was hoping I could just add a New Item (Permissions Definitions) on the Data Object = NewObject1 at the end of the custom action, but I can't figure out how to get this to work...any suggestions?
