Reference to Object for Custom Objects

We have a custom object that contains ids and other fields from another system that is updated monthly. These other system id are assigned to Clarizen project using a reference to object field.

We would like to bring over the other fields from the custom object onto the projects and have it refresh monthly. Unfortunately, the reference to objects only give the option to select the ids not the other fields on the same row as the id.
