I am trying to add my company's logo as an icon to the Organization/customicon picklist.
When I try to add it through settings I am not provided to option to select a file for the icon itself.
When I try through the API I get an error "Invalid operation: Field 'ImageUrl' cannot be updated. The field is marked 'read-only"
How do I add an icon for use with my custom page?

You should be able to do this (please refer to the screenshot):
If you can't, please look into your browser's Flash settings - Flash is required to choose an image.
