Weekly Project Meetings

I am trying to find the best to recognize weekly project meetings to be able to account for this time for the project resources in resource planning and capacity planning.  I have tried a single task for the duration of the project, calculating out an hour for each resource, but it does not appear in resource or capacity as I would expect.  I have also tried recurring task but for some reason the work is showing 2 hours for each week although I set the task up for a one hour recurring task.  Any recommendations appreciated!!
