Multiple Resources all need to complete Task

Current Work Policy = Fixed Work

Scenario: All 3 resources are expected to spend 2 hrs each reviewing final storyboard.  One resource is on PTO, so the work is shifting to the other resources to complete by the quickest date.

Is the best solution to change the work policy for this one task to Fixed Unit instead of Fixed Work and leave the rest of the project as Fixed Work?

I would try to avoid fixed units since it prevents users from being able to lock both work and duration, which can be very confusing.  If you set fixed work, you can easily and quickly use the resource tab to remove the work from the resource on PTO and move it to the other resources.

The issue is that I don't want to shift the work to another resource.  I want all 3 resources to review the storyboard, so I want the date to move back until the resources are all available.  How do I set it up so Clarizen recognizes all the resources have to do the work?

In order for the system to autoschedule around vacation, only one resource can be assigned to that particular task. What you can do is break that task into 3 subtasks, one for each resource.  That way the task would be not completed until each of the 3 subtasks are addressed, and the scheduled of the parent task will be automatically pushed out by the subtask with a resource on PTO.
