Can I Change/Create a Default Subject for Social Emails?

Most of my team who will utilize the Social communication of Clarizen for projects will not be logged in to Clarizen...this means that they are first receiving the email that is produced when teams are using Social.

The problem we have with this is that people are getting emails on 10 different projects and they cannot easily determine what email is coming from what Social group related to which Project, and if it is something they need to read or not, and it is bombarding their inbox (impeding communication).

Is there a way to change the settings on what the default is of how the discussion emails look ... for example maybe using [Project] as a default before the chat text so people know what the topic is?  Like: [JB Project X] Joe Manufacturer will you look at this roadmap and confirm you can still hit our target?

Hi Amy,

the project name is included in the body of the email in the first line in such email notifications, for example, see the attached email, where "Saar Yariv" is me, i created the post, and "Payoneer demo" is the name of the project.

you can set up a outlook rule that looks for the name of the relevant project in the body of the email.

regards,

Saar

Yes I see that.  I am asking above if there is a way Clarizen can put the Project Name in the SUBJECT line, where people can see what the email is pertaining to immediately.

Thanks,

Amy

changing Clarizen default emails is not possible. what you can do is set workflow rules to send emails triggered by specific changes in the project. inside this custom workflow rules you can design the format of the email, and make sure the project name is included in the subject line.

for assistance in creating such custom rules, please contact your Customer Success Manager in Clarizen.

I agree this needs to change. With lots of projects on the go, our users can't be opening each email to see which project it relates to. An Outlook rule is a poor solution - it would be good if the subject line could be updated via a workflow rule or something

This issue is almost 2 years old. Is there any chance it will be considered for release in an upcoming build?

Great request, but it's still not on the official roadmap.

We are finding this as an issue as well. Having the discussion topics inserted as the email subject line makes it extremely difficult to know what project it is related to. It would be great if there was the option to make the project name the email subject line. I hope this gets on the roadmap.
