Different Property Cards by View for Projects and Requests

We have several different uses of Clarizen requests, and we have created custom forms to allow users to submit the requests with the appropriate custom fields.  However, I can't see where we can create a view of the Request with the property card showing the custom fields based on the View name.  The property card at the top of all views shows the same fields no matter what type of project or request view selected.

Is it possible to customize the property card by view?  Without this functionality, the property card becomes too busy and unusable for our users.

Jennifer,

Yes the property card can be configured to only show the fields you want using the Profiles settings. You can take fields away or add custom fields to the Property card.

Note that this is the case for every Item Type in Clarizen so you will need to do this separately for Projects and Requests and any other object you wish to adjust the property card for.

Hi Boris,

Yes, we were able to configure the property card with custom fields.  But can I do custom property cards by Request view?

For example, if I have a Request view named "Development" and one named "Training", and the request fields differ between Development and Training, can I create a separate property card for each view that shows only the applicable fields?

Jennifer,

This is not possible and would be considered a Change Request. What would need to be required is when you go to EDIT within the View, the Property Panel at the top would be editable just like the Work Plan. Would you like me to submit this request?

Hi Boris,

Yes, I would like to submit this as an enhancement request.  I found another community posting from last year that said there might already be an RFE submitted.

Jennifer,

According to our Product team, they are planning on developing the “Dependent Forms” feature very soon which will address this. Currently no ETA for the release.

Has this made it into a release yet? How can I see when this is targeted and how to use it? Thanks.

It has a high internal priority but no official release scheduled for it. I think there is a good chance you will see it this year.

Thanks for releasing layout. It is indeed very helpful. However, we still want to customize our property card based on view. So for example, if we are in view A, then i should be seeing some other set of fields and if we are in View B, i would like to see another set of field. Is there a possibility to set property card based on view?
