report with spend working hours for specified time frame

I need to get a report which gives an overview per project (project code, project) with the amount of hours totalized per project spend in a specified time frame. How can I achieve that? I don't see an option when I try to make a report myself

Hi Henk,

At the moment, this is not possible with the current reporting module in Clarizen. You would need to use the Clarizen Excel Add-in from our apps marketplace. There is also a monthly fee to use this as well. However, I want to inform you that a new reporting module is coming out soon next year that will be a major upgrade to the reporting module we have now.

Hi Tom,

OK, then I have a few questions left:

  • when do you expect the new reporting module to be available? is that January or August? And what will be in.

  • in the mean time, what options do I have if I do not want to use the Excel add-in? I need to report the hours every month or 2 months, and I don't think it is a realistic option if I have to put that together project by project.

in case we have to go for the Excel add-in: what opportunities will give me that? Excel add-in only might not give the answer, but I need to make a macro or whatsoever I guess?

Henk,

The new Reporting Module is currently scheduled for a February 2015 release. I will have a lot more flexibility with the types of reports possible as well as Dashboards and Graphs. See attached for high level Mock up.

Currently, our existing Reports module is limited and when it comes to Timesheet data, you are limited to the out of the box reports, which are not configurable. What you see is what you get.

The Excel Add-In can benefit you in the short-term because it is a query tool that can query any data in the Clarizen system, so if you want to pull Timesheet data by Project and within certain time frames (i.e. 2 months) you can pull the raw data and then use Excel functionality (i.e. Pivot Tables) to show the data as you please.

Sincerely,

Boris
