Parent Project Type filter in Tasks view

Since we maintain a backlog for our dev teams across a number of customer projects, I have created a backlog view for tasks. This way the team can pick tasks from this prioritised backlog (almost Kanban-like) to include in their sprint.

However, in this backlog we also get internal project that have the same task types that we normally filter from. So I'd like to include a Parent Project Type filtering possibility in order to weed out internal stuff from our dev backlog.

Not sure if I'm following the request.  You can already add parent project as an optional filter.

Parent Project Type :-)

The Parent Project Name is available.

Ah, you could create a custom field at the task level that grabs the parent project type, and then filter based on that custom field.

Well, I guess I could do this. But I see no reason to limit filtering possibilities when the data is there.

I think this is a limitation to minimize performance impact to the servers, but in any case we have a way around it for those in the know like yourself (and anyone else that reads this thread) =)
