Building Reports Based on Current View and Sort/Filters

Hello,

I'm suggesting the option to create a report based on a currently existing view with applied sorts and filters.  This would be similar to creating a 'shared' view, but instead, the system would allow you to take the visible view of work items displayed and create a system report with the same settings applied (columns used, sorts applied, filters, etc).  This would make the creation of reports much easier, as right now there is a lot of trial and error in the system to make sure you have all the data fields and filters set up properly for the report.  This means you have to run the report numerous times and then go back and edit to set it up just right.  Being able to create a report based on settings adopted out of the 'Work Items' view, or while viewing a specific Project, would make the process much much easier.

Brent, 

If you want the report in spreadsheet/Excel format, you can simply export your Workplan to get this. Is this not sufficient?
